For those uncertain if they can learn to ride a Segway, rest assured, the instructors at the San Francisco Electric Tour Company will make sure you're ready to traverse the streets of San Francisco before setting you free. The staff is friendly and take pride in what they do. Riding the Segway is a unique experience all itself- and the fact you're doing it in such a lively atmosphere- trust me, you can't go wrong with this tour package!Rudy B., United States, 08-2009
The San Francisco Segway Tour was so much fun. The training prior to the tour was excellent where you felt very confident riding the segway before going out on the streets. Our tour guide was a lot of fun and she showed us all the interesting sites. I highly recommend this tour.Jayne L., United States, 08-2009
The segway tour is a great way to familiarize yourself with the city. The staff was very friendly, informative, and made the overall experience enjoyable for all ages. We did the 9:00am tour and highly recommend this time because the streets are less crowded and the sites are easier to be seen. Insider advice: wear long pants, jacket, and gloves - it is very chilly while cruising along. If you're interested in doing the Segway/Alcatraz combo tour - make sure you book it 1-2 weeks before your trip as the Alcatraz ferries fill up fast!Aubrey G., United States, 07-2009
This was a great first experience. My husband and I very much enjoyed the tour. My only piece of advice to other travelers is after the training session you are still not comfortable and the instructor gives you the opt out question take it. It is in my opinion important to feel comfortable in order to enjoy the tour and to not have an accident.
The tour guide was very professional and a kick to listen to. We will definitely take tours this way again in the future.Dawn S., United States, 06-2009

This is the second year that we have taken the tour, but the first for our college-aged daughter. The smile on her face at the end of the tour made it all worth it. Two days later we went on the advanced tour.Chris E., Hong Kong, 06-2009
We had a blast on the San Francisco Segway Tour. You couldn't ask for a better way to see Fisherman's Wharf area and the streets of San Francisco. Linda M., United States, 06-2009

I booked on line for a combo Segway/Alcatraz tour and wasn't quite sure what I was going to get before we flew into SFO. Now that we're home, my husband and I are STILL talking about the blast we had on the Segway tour. I joked it was the most fun you could have legally in all 50 states. The staff was professional and they put you at ease immediately. After the training session you felt competent to ride the city streets. The only non-excellent I would give is that the tour was "conducted" through mikes on the Segways and like all radio transmissions the clarity was lacking at times. But quite honestly, my husband and I both agreed we really didn't care since we just had so much fun riding the Segways through the streets of San Francisco. I have over 30 years of motorcycling experiences and had no problem immediately adapting to the Segway. My husband with NO motorcyling experience only took 5 minutes longer to adjust. If you can ride a bike and chew gum at the same time you're going to have no problem with the Segways. We're looking forward to taking the advance tour down Lombard Street the next time we're in SFO. Great job guys! Can't wait to go back. Debby A., United States, 05-2009
Segway tour was the best part of our trip, and we did a lot on our vacation. It was more than just worth the money. I strongly suggest that you make this a part of your trip to San Francisco. I would do it again. The staff were very professional and made you very comfortable on your tour. Thomas L., United States, 05-2009
Outstanding, great way to see San FranciscoThomas L., United States, 05-2009
to be able to ride through Fishermans Wharf on a busy day was AMAZING. The ride included LOTS of places to see and the guide (Aisha) was fun and accommodating. My friend fell off her Segway and,she STILL would do this again. It was THAT GOOD!!! I am doing this again! I loved it!!!Rebecca B., United States, 04-2009
Wonderful way to see SF.......and fun !! Rebecca B., United States, 04-2009

The Segway tour was one of the most fun things I have ever experienced. Our guide was very entertaining!Brandy B., United States, 12-2008
What a fun way to see San Francisco! For me it was a bit more about riding the Segway - as I already had some familiarity with SF - my guest from Sweden and I had a fantastic time!
I was so pleased - this was easy to set up on the Website, nice to combine the two reservations - your organization knew how to time them so we were not rushed at AlcatrazKristina B., United States, 11-2008
The tour was fun, the training was excellent, and the staff wonderful. The only change I would recommend is including more sites and explanations on the tour route. It was very limited - lots of residential and beach - and didn't live up to my expectations. I felt like I needed a more traditional tour afterward to really get the history and overview of SanFran. This was really a Segway tour, not a SF tour.Jeanne W., United States, 10-2008
Very cool! Have told many people about it.Carol S. M., United States, 09-2008
An amazing tour. I love riding the Segway. The weather was perfect. The guides were fun and informative. Worth the money. The only downside was that we only got two chances to take pictures the entire time. MAJOR bummer.Steve O., United States, 08-2008
I would highly recommend this tour, as you get great training using the equipment, everything's safe, and the tour itself was fun and interesting.Gavin O., United States, 08-2008

Great, fun and active way to see San Francisco! Enjoyed every minute, will definitely return for advanced, night tour when we return to San Francisco!Mary Jane T., United States, 06-2008
I really enjoyed riding a Segway, the streets we went on, and the training for the ride was excellent. Deb C., Canada, 03-2008

Leah P., United States, 01-2008
This is a great tour for visitors who are looking for a great way to see the area. The segway allows for the tour to cover more grounds than a walking tour and it is a great experience to ride the segway. The training was very helpful - I was somewhat hesitant as to whether I would fall off the segway but we were given plenty of time to get used to it to really enjoy the experience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking into this for both San Francisco and the Sausalito tour. We had so much fun from the San Francisco tour, we signed up for the Sausalito tour immediately afterwards! The guys are funny, friendly and courteous. Next time we come back to San Francisco, we will definitely check out the advanced tour!Jacqueline S I., Canada, 12-2007
Met or exceeded my expectations. Staff was outstanding and helpful.Michael F., United States, 10-2007
We loved everything about this tour. The weather was perfect and made things even more enjoyable. Alcatraz is very interesting and the Ranger very informative. We had one of the best times of our lives on the Segways.
