We surprised r 15 yr old grandson with the Segway night tour on the last nite of r visit to San Fran. We don't know who enjoyed it most he or his grandparents! Jack was r guide -- he was great! We truly appreciated the company having appropriate attire (gloves, stocking hats, heavier jackets, etc) for the unprepared vacationer! The tour was the perfect way to end r visit! The segway tour was very different from other tours. You got to be out there, getting the little details that a bus tour wouldn't be able to offer. The guide was very informative, entertaining and always ensured that everyone was keeping up. We had a blast riding our Segways around San Francisco. It was a fantastic way to get around the city and see a lot of sights. My only wish was that I could have taken pictures while in motion...maybe they will come out with a helmet-cam that customers could rent..who knows. I would highly recommend this to anyone and I already have. My wife and I have talked about when not if we will do this again. The Segway is a unique piece of machinery. It's use is so intuitive. By looks you would think that you would fall over so easily, but that is absolutely not the case. The Segway is an absolute kick to operate. This was our second tour with this company. Both tours (regular and sunset tour) were a blast. There is some history of the city involved and we get to see parts of San Francisco we normally don't visit. The segways are easy to learn and super fun to ride! Our tour guide, Christopher Robinson, was a bright and energetic young man with a wonderfully witty sense of humor. He helped us to feel like we were a part of the tour, and not just tourists. The city is spectacular and I can't think of any better way to see the sights than on a segway (especially with all the hills)! By far this was my teenage son and my favorite thing about our trip to San Francisco! We went on a bay cruise, rode the cable cars, went to Alcatraz, the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and the Winchester Haunted House; nothing compared to the fun we had riding the Segways around town! The guide was great with my 13 year old son and it is all he has talked about to his friends since we got home. We plan to come back to town in a few months so that we can take the advanced tour. This was the first time my family had been on a Segway, and it was amazing. The tour took us places we didn't get to see on any other tour, and we all had a great time. I wish we could have stayed in town longer for another tour. I would definitely recommend this tour. P.S. I really liked the tour guide, I think his name was Chris from Paso Robles, CA. Ages 12 and up. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds or over 250 pounds. Reservations required. Segway riding is not recommended for pregnant women. Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate. All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with some mobility issues. You will be standing for 2 Hours. Please call if you have questions.
