How Our Gift Certificates work:

1. Book a San Francisco or Sausalito Gift Certificate online for any date in the next few months.
2. You will be emailed a "Print At Home" version of a Segway Gift Certificate. (If you want we can mail you a gift certificate suitable for gift giving.)
3. Present the Segway Tour Gift Certificate to the recipient. The recipient. can change the date you selected to a time / day they want to go by calling our office.
4. You get a big thank you for giving the best gift ever !!

Tour Overview:

After a 35-45 minute training on how to safely operate the Segway, you'll guests will explore either the San Francisco or Sausalito waterfront for a full two and a half hours! Tours are limited to nine riders and ages 12 and up (over 100 lbs) are welcome.

If you choose to give the Sausalito Segway Tour you recipients will enjoy the most sensational way to see this bayside gem. An experience they will not forget. A high tech Segway glide combined with a narrated tour of the hidden treasures of this small town.

Your guests will discover the many parks, harbors and fascinating houseboat communities in Sausalito.
They will also enjoy the area's beautiful bike paths and bayside estuaries. Tour visits the fascinating bay model, with a scale model of the entire bay, complete with changing tides.

Rules of the Road for Segways in San Francisco: Segways are not allowed on sidewalks in San Francisco. We only offer guided tours. We use a combination of designated bike paths and low speed-light traffic streets to conduct our guided tours.

We stress courtesy, rules of the road and common sense when riding a Segway in the city. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company advocates safe tour routes, careful Segway use and detailed rider education. We want a positive tour experience for our guests and encourage respect for residents and visitors sharing the roads, sidewalks and bike paths in the city.

Please have the gift certificate recipient call the tour office at least 2 weeks prior to tour date to finalize a specific date and time for the tour. Present the Gift Certificate E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office.

Rider Requirements:

The San Francisco Segway Tour has only a few restrictions. Riders must:

• Be ages 12 and up. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (If you are concerned about mobility issues Please call us to discuss. We want every rider to have a safe tour.) Pregnant guests are not allowed on the tour.
• Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.
• Weigh between 100 and 250 pounds (45 to 113 kilos) Mimumum weight and age limits are strictly enforced for rider saftey.
• Wear the helmet and safety vest that is provided with the tour.
• Not wear flip-flops, open-toe sandals or high heels.
• Sign a liability waiver.
• Complete the Segway rider training and test ride.
• Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride.

Liability Agreement :

All customers will be required to review and sign our tour agreement and liability waiver before starting their tour. The San Francisco Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

Changes to a Gift Certificate Reservation and No Show Policy:

Please have the Gift certificate recipient call the tour office 2 weeks prior to tour date to finalize a specific date and time for the tour. Present the Gift Certificate E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the date and time of your tour. Gift Certificates are NOT refundable.

We have a limited amount of Segways. No Shows are charged in full. Tour reservation dates can be changed up to 72 hours prior to the tour date. No date or time changes within 72 hours of scheduled tour date. A signed liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.

Gift certificates are valid 1 year from date of purchase.
